Rx Advisor announces Flu Vaccination Training Workshops for Pharmacists for 2016/2017

In response to the NHSE's announcement on 9th May 2016 for re-commissioning the NHS Flu Vaccination service from community pharmacy, Rx Advisor is providing more Flu Vaccination Training Workshops for Pharmacists accross the country. Last years successful delivery of these workshops received excellent feedback, and this year we have updated our training materials. The workshops will equip pharmacists with the necessary competencies to provide a safe and efficient NHS service from a community pharmacy. More details about the workshop are available here
Rx Advisor re-comissioned as provider of medicines optimisation support services for Cambridgeshire & Peterborough CCG 2015/2016.

Rx Advisor was selected again to support the medicines optimisation team at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough CCG. Rx Advisor's team worked closely with GP practices and identified over £179,000 of prescribing efficiency savings and delivered in excess of £123,000 of savings. Equating to a return in investement of £8.37 for every £1 invested.

In response to the announcement of the Community Pharmacy Flu Vaccination Advanced Service, Rx Advisor is providing a series of Flu Vaccination Training Workshops for Pharmacists. The workshops will commence from 23rd August 2015 and will be delivered by experienced clinical pharmacists who have personal experience of providing flu vaccinations.
The workshops will equip pharmacists with the necessary competencies to provide a safe and efficient NHS service from a community pharmacy. More details about the workshop are available here

Rx Advisor was selected to support the medicines optimisation team at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough CCG. Rx Advisor's team worked closely with 17 GP practices and identified over £331,000 of prescribing efficiency savings.

Rx Advisor was selected to support the medicines optimisation team at Ealing CCG. Rx Advisor's team worked closely with 4 GP practices and reviewed over 2525 patients and delivered in excess of £38,000 in prescribign efficiency savings in a period of 4 months.
Rx Advisor achieves the Matrix Standard for information advice & guidance services

The matrix Standard is a challenging, outcome based Standard that is not only a benchmark of the quality of the services an organisation provides, but a key business improvement tool. It demonstrates a high level of corporate governance standards by training providers that are funded through governemnt grants.
Rx Advisor is delighted to announce that it has reached this standard in its first inspection. This is an outstanding achievement and means that Rx Advisor can source government funding for its training courses.
Rx Advisor selected as provider of choice for Tramadol Therapy Review Audit for a UAE Health Authority

Due to its successful delivery of training and rational prescribing audits for Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD), Rx Advisor was selected as provider of choice by HAAD to design and deliver an audit of the use of opiaite medicines in Abu Dhabi.
Rx Advisor supported the HAAD team in design and delivery and data analysis of the therapy review audit
The results of this audit were used to inform national guidelinesfor opiate prescribing.
